A planet 750 light years away from earth is darker than coal. This strange exoplanet reflects less than one percent of the light falling on it. This planet has the name “TrES-2b” has the size of Jupiter. TrES-2b is mostly gas and its surface is heated to over 1000 degrees Celsius causing the emission of infrared light.
